I Misteri del Venerdì Santo

April 16

One of the oldest traditions of the island: the realization and participation in the procession is deeply rooted in the identity of the Procidan community. After two years of absence due to the pandemic, the procession will return to parade through the streets of the island, with its traditional "mysteries" - allegorical tables representing episodes from the Old and New Testament - and the statues of the Addolorata and the Dead Christ of Lantriceni, one of the most precious assets of the artistic heritage of Procida.
